The road was long and the anticipation was palpable. We packed two SUVs full of gear, strapped crash pads to the roofs, and set out West. The ride from Denver to Bishop California was a sixteen hour affair.
FInally arriving at Buttermilk Road we set up camp, enjoyed the warmth of a campfire (and cinnamon whiskey).
