Fields of granite giants sit at the foot of the Sierras, as if they had dropped from the sky. The time spent in the climbing mecca that is Bishop, California left me in awe and wonder. The scale is what was foreign, but once fingers touched stone it became all to familiar. We traveled the 16 hours from Denver to crush. We found ourselves surrounded by Mother Nature’s playground. What else could we do but play? The week spent in California was not nearly enough time to truly appreciate all that Bishop has to offer. The town is amazing, the hot springs are lukewarm, the climbing is epic and I will be back.
